The Christmas lights are up on Oxford Street, the weather has finally turned cold and Starbucks has rolled out the Gingerbread and Eggnog Lattes. At some point during a late night dinner at our place this past Saturday, it came out that Simon, a friend visiting my husband and I from New York, had a Murakami in his tote bag. He was selling it to a collector here in London. We convinced him to pull the happy little multiple out as we were polishing off dessert (Matt’s homemade chocolate and chili pepper ice cream, yum.)
